LOCAL BREWER IS INGREDIENT FOR CYCLO-CROSS SUCCESS
Organisers of the 2011 National Cyclo-cross Championships are pleased to continue their partnership with the Derby Brewing Company www.derbybrewing.co.uk producing award winning, hand crafted ales. The business was founded by Head Brewer Trevor Harris, who ensures that over twenty five years brewing expertise going into every pint of ale produced. The brewery uses only the finest quality ingredients from around the world and the support from the company is one of the ingredients for the success of the championships.
Previously Derby Brewing supporting the last previous two Derby National trophy races at Markeaton Park and Moorways Stadium. The launch for next year’s event was held at the Brewery Tap earlier in the year hosted by Paul Harris the company’s Sales and Marketing Director. Since then the company has purchased the Greyhound public house in Friar Gate, Derby. Trevor Harris said ‘As Derby’s local Brewer we are proud to be associated with Cyclo cross National Championship coming to Derby. We look forward to providing much needed refreshment for all the fans & riders.’
The championships will take place over two days on 8th and 9th of January 2011 at the Moorways Centre and will be organised by the experienced team from Derby Cyclo-cross. Derby Cyclo-cross is an amalgam of cyclo-cross enthusiasts across several Derbyshire clubs – Derby Mercury CC, South Pennine RC, Heanor Clarion CC and empella/cyclo-cross.com RT.
