HOPE FOR NATIONAL CYCLO-CROSS CHAMPIONSHIPS
The Onimpex British Cycling National Cyclo-cross Championships are now only a few weeks away and organisers from Derby Cyclo-cross are pleased to welcome Hope Technology as a partner for the two day event.
Hope Technology www.hopetech.com, is based in Lancashire and produces high quality cycle components from its state of the art manufacturing facility in Barnoldswick. In fact 99.5% of their products are made in their own factory. The company prides itself on its technical excellence and development of its products many of which are used by top cyclo-cross riders.
Neil Arnold, Hope Sales and Marketing said “We’re proud to be supporting this event, cyclo-cross is growing year on year and it’s good to see events all over the country encouraging more and more people to get out and have a go. The Nationals is the big one and is the showcase for cyclo-cross and its most talented riders. Hopefully our involvement with the event shows we are committed to improving the image, presence and value of cyclo-cross in this country”
Last season’s National Trophy champion Paul Oldham rides for the Hope Factory Cyclo-cross Team and is looking forward to the racing in January. “The course at Moorways is really enjoyable to ride and is a worthy of being the venue for the top race in the country.” Oldham is currently ranked No.1 in the country and will be aiming to be Elite national champion for the first time in 2011.
The championships will take place on 8th and 9th of January 2011 at the Moorways Centre in Derby and are organised by the experienced team from Derby Cyclo-cross lead by John Holmes. Derby Cyclo-cross is an amalgam of cyclo-cross enthusiasts across several Derbyshire clubs – Derby Mercury CC, South Pennine RC, Heanor Clarion CC and empella/cyclo-cross.com RT.
